Welcome to life on the Interstate Highways. After traveling several years on the Interstates, I always found it hard to find a camping spot or even a good place to pull over for a short-time. As all you traveling campers know the rest areas are pretty much taboo for sleeping over, Well unless you are a trucker then it doesn't seem to matter.

Anyway, that's just water under the bridge. This web site is designed for the family, who is just traveling down the Interstate Highways heading for Grandma's or Disney World in Florida or taking the family on a trip to the Grand Canyon. But, Interstatecamping.com is also for Grandma and Grandpa who commute to their winter home and back each year. As you know its very hard to plan where you're going to stay the night. Like most of us travelers, you just want to put some miles behind you and you'll figure out the overnight stuff later. And, many times you're turned away from campgrounds and overnight stations because their filled with people just like you.

Now wouldn't it be nice if you could get on a web site and tell it how far you are going to drive that day and get a listing of campgrounds at the exit. Better yet it would be a lot nicer if you could get a confirmed reservation and information about what's at the exit, along with coupons and discounts from the area businesses.

Now you're living in a RVers' dream world. But wait. All you need to do is surf WWW.INTERSTATECAMPING.COM. Of course, I know all of us don't have the Internet in your traveling vehicle. So you are thinking what about the second night, if I make reservation days ahead and I encounter inclement weather and miss the reservation, I lose my deposit what a rip-off. I thought of that too. The solution, why not put the campground listing on a CDROM for convenient, economical use. Now that's easier than putting a computer at all the campgrounds. WOW what a great idea!
